    1982 GS 750 Camshaft question

    Hello guys,

As a newbie here, i'd like to say hi to everyone! It's such a pleasure to be here! Whenever i needed some help with my GS, forum was,and still is great source of knowledge, so i decided to sign in. Recently i'm working on my 1982 GS 750 (GS75X,tscc engine) and i have a problem with exhaust camshaft. It's in pretty bad shape, with a lot of pittings on the lobes. I want to replace it, but it's quite hard to get one (in Europe). I've heard that cams from gs 1100 (idk which year precisely) should fit without any problems, but i'm not 100% sure. Could You please help me out here, and tell me which cams i can use instead of a stock ones (from gs750)??
P.S. I'd like to apologize for my english - it's not my native language.

    Take care!!

The 1100 cams are the same, with a little more lift and duration, must use the 750 sprockets. The 750 exhaust cams usually have split rockers, they will chew up an 1100 cam. I used two pair of intake rockers on mine. The 1100 rockers are not the same width at the valves as the 750 ones.

Yes, 16 valve GS1100 cams will fit. The 1150 cams too, but there is no tach drive gear on those.
