I've enclosed a photo of what Im having a problem with....

the image is of under the starter cover with starter removed. While removing that starter i managed to accidentally pull the small tube that runs down towards the top of the photo.. My problem is that i cant seem to feel or see what it connects to underneath the starter cavity. What is this little tube and its function ? Crankcase oil ? gear oil ?
Do i need to split the case to reconnect or just yank the stator cover ?

I think it connects to the secondary gear chamber breather nipple on the top of the crankcase, below the carbs, and then the hose connects to nothing on the other end.

Yep, it's just a vent for the secondary gears.

In other words, it's not connected to anything under there.
