    GSX1100(1074ccm) In GS1000E frame?

    Hey dudes

    Can anybody tell my if a GSX 1100(82`) engine
    will swap straight in my GS1000 frame?

    If not, which moods have to made?

    Hope you can read my english.

    gsx1100 swap into gs1000e..... fits....

    hi guys ,,,yes is the answer,,, a guy in orbost purchased a gsx1100 complete engine it came with everything ...and over a weekend he pulled out the old blown gs1000e motor and replaced it with the gsx1100 motor.... and never had dramas doing it or riding it ...... his name was david ,,,something ... he had the old chainsaw /mower shop in the main street of orbost.... the motor needed no work to get it running .. once fitted ... he purchased the motor from motabits ,,,,, when they were in elizabeth street melbourne .. regards oldgrumpy ....

          The engine is a bolt in. The lower middle mounts don't line up but we never had a problem not using them. Ray.
