Alright, we dug into her today, the pistons had some carbon build up on them but we scratched a little off and theyre still nice and chrome underneath. Measured the bore and its 83mm, looking at the APE site they means its a 1395cc or a 1400cc motor. Here are some pics:
something that struck as odd, was the cam has what looks like a speedo drive on it? But there isn't a speedo port on the front of the motor? would that mean they're from another bike?
Ill get some pics of the pistons later.

Look for a grind number by the sprocket on the cams. Most aftermarket cams have the tach gear for the 1100s.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

Oops, tach drive my mistake. I'll get that grind number and look for a stamp after we take the sprockets off the cams.Comment

Alright here are the cams:
We took the gear off and didn't find any stamps, so maybe they're stock? Also no stamps on the ends of the cams.Comment
