1982 gs550l jumped cam teeth???

OK so last week she fired right up after a valve job. Now she wouldn't after taking off carbs cam tensioner extra to paint some parts. So i take off the valve cover to see what's going on since I have no for of combustion and my cams jumped out of spec. I did them 3 weeks ago and only drove it maybe an 1/8 of a mile. And not only one tooth but jumped to 22 tabs apart? How does this happen?!

Did the crank rotate at all when you had the tensioner off?

Did you unlock the cam chain tensioner when you re-installed it?

Did you put a couple of turns of tension on the tensioner knob spring when re-assembling it (did you rebuild the tensioner)?

You know what now that Im thinking about it it may have turned it over since I was checking the ignition wiring...dumb
