    To answer your other question, yes you must synch the carbs after doing the valve adjustment. Dip them, put them back together with new orings, if necessary, bench synch, and then vacuum synch.

      Check the valve adjustment with a compression check.
      If compression is good clean those carbs!

        Carbs are being dipped now. As I got into each carb and took a closer look, I could see that they weren't as clean as I thought they were. Also I noticed that the float needle screen on each float needle was actually loose and detached front the float needle. They are after markets. I still have the orignal float needles, and I'm soaking them. My plan is to use the orginal screens. Is that reasonable? Seems that they are attached to the float needle better.
