I use regular old english unit feeler gauges. .0015" - .003". If the .0015" doesn't pass I go down a shim size. I have not found it necessary to chase down a metric feeler gauge set.Ed
To measure is to know.

I am not saying that a metric set is not worth it, just haven't sprung for one yet.
By the way, the spreadsheet that I offer in my sig doesn't care whether you use inch or metric measurements.

Try Pep Boys again, I got a metric set from them that goes down to .04 MM (which is thin enough) for about $5.

Any decent non-Harley powersports shoppe will have a black Bikemaster tool display which contains a nice metric feeler gauge set that starts at .03mm for about $10.
If your clearance is .04 or less, the shim gets changed no matter what -- you don't NEED the .03 blade. Besides, .03mm is really thin and flimsy.
