Bought a 530 link conversion kit online... Not enough links!
So I bought a chain conversion online off of ebay for my 79 Gs 750. Well I have an issue. I"m about 6-9 links to short.. the kit has 108 links and the two drive sprockets which are 17tooth in the front and a 49Tootth in the back. The kit came with a 108 length chain... Which said direct bolt on for a 77-79 GS 750... So Here's the conundrum, do I buy a new chain? I can't return it for I opened the package and started to install it on the bike and the sprockets are installed too(obviously). Can I buy links somewhere? Need help with this one please!

If you want to make sure you have the correct sprockets and correct chain...(number of teeth and links)
give Z!Enterprises a call, tell then your looking to do the conversion and see what they tell you, I have heard they are very good at this, and have helped many of the guys here on the site....
perhaps it's correct, did you push the rear tire as far forward as possible, loosen up the chain tensioners so it will move forward (towards the engine)

I believe that Z1 sent a chain of about 120 links and all that I had to do was lop off about 6 of them.
