1983 MD Katana gear indicator oil leak!
I'll post pic's soon!(she's gorgeous). Here's my ques/observation.....I had a leak here! 1st replace oring napa size, don't do it! Bike was leak free for a while....oops, non correct oring cracked sender!....order new sender/factory oring(lesson learned, make sure u have exact sizes)......ride bike, still leaking!!!.....noticed oil ruining out bottom mount screw!....drain oil, use led light find pin hole in case at bottom of threads!? Brake clean area, hole and used high temp rtv to plug hole and remounted sender.....allowing 24hr cure! That should do it! Hole was not for gear indicator as in like a banjo bolt set-up! Anyone ever see this!Tags: None
