    Cylinder problems

So it seems like one of the cylinders isn't firing. My best guess is that it's running lean in one cylinder? It seems that there's not enough fuel or enough spark in one cylinder. It won't idle long. It revs at 500 and jumps to 1200rpm and then dies after a bit. Also, since I got the bike when it's warming up and the rpm's are high it makes a popping noise. Well it was making that popping noise after it started running funny. When it's idling it stalls like there's not enough rpm to keep it on. When i ride it how I always ride (sitting at 3500-4000rpms unless in heavy traffic or on the freeway) it stutters like there's a reoccurring low level of power, and when I ride it with high rpm's it pops and seems a little underpowered.

You need to tell us how many of the Newbie items you've actually done, plus your airbox/exhaust set up

You obviously have an air leak with the rising idle

Newbie Mistakes tread is linked in my signature. You might want to take a gander and take action on as many of the items as possible.

      Good luck
