what is a vance and hines superhub?

I just picked up a 1980 gs1100e. Im in the middle of going through the entire bike. I pulled the clutch over and found that there is a vance and hines superhub clutch basket on it. Can anyone tell me about this?

After market high strength basket. Should have a welded backing plate/primary gear to the basket, and stronger springs than stock.

Used for high torque motors so there is less chance of the clutch blowing up

The stock baskets get worn out from the clutch fibers, and the springs get loose and can break over time causing the notorious clutch rattle at idle.

According to the old V&H catalog, The Super Hub used the stock basket.

They had a "modified hub" which was just welding the rivets
The Super Hub" which had a thicker backing plate, stronger springs and rivets. We still do that one.

Then they had the Billet Hub, which was the super hub with a billet basket. We still do that with a forged basket.
