1982 Suzuki Gs750 Mileage questions?
I am looking to buy an 82 gs750 as my first bike, but the bike has 30k on it. The motor sounds good and the bike rides fine. I was just wondering if 30k miles is to much on this bike.Tags: None

To help clarify, New Members, CLICK HERE!! Then go to last page and bottom / first post.
You will find the info you seek on basecliffs website link located towards bottom of that post.
The service manual for your 16 valve 750 gs is located in list of service manuals.
Below the service links you will find some links to step by step procedures for some of your in-need service projects and some common mods to help keep you from problems down the road.
Make sure to open your link to the mega welcome and top newbie mistakes.
Like most of us you will want to explore and use this site(the GSR Resource) and are free to ask any questions but a lot of the info you will need will be located in the three links mentioned above.
Some of the answers you will receive will be pointing you to Basecliffs website So be sure to read all that great info as time allows.
Might i suggest you create a new folder on your desktop to save your pdf files, charts, helpful picts, and links to the different info you feel you will find useful down the road.
I have also started some text documents to save info I have found on various posts, One might be titled (Painting Tanks), and have select info from various posts.
I hope you find this useful
Welcome to the GSR

However, these are the bikes with oiling problems.
Do a search on oil pressure relief shim.
In model year 82, Suzuki improved the crank bearings design somewhat.
Someone posted an old service bulletin a few months ago regarding this topic.
I have one of these '82 E's and I love it to pieces. But, I plan to do a rebuild early so it does not become "pieces."
If you need help finding the information, send me a pm...but, an honest search should do the trick.
