    Valve change

I just remove my valve from my 83 gs1100e head to put on new seals and springs. What do I have to do before I put them back or replace them. Can I just put them back???????????????????/

    Read the service manual.

Keep track of the valves and put them back where you got them.
Check the specs on the valves, guides and seats. You can find this info in your manual.

while they are out you could lap them in to make sure they are seating good and tight. liberally cover the stems and new stem seals with engine oil before refitting.
make sure you put the same valve back in the same position it came from.
also make sure the collets are seated good and proper on the valve after installation.
a few taps with a hard rubber mallet on the top of the valve will make sure they are seated correctly
