    Head Screws Torque

Hey guys i have a 83 gs 750, and i downloaded the service but cant see what i have to torque the head down to. Just wanted to know if anyone knows where in the service manual i can read this, or does anyone know that i have to torque the head screws down to?

There is a torque table in the specifications section. The torque also should be in the engine section as well.

    To measure is to know.

I'm on my phone so I can't download the file but the specifications area will be one of the first sections (at least on my 550 service manual)

In the '83 750 Manual on Cliff's website, looks like section 8, page 8-16.

Does everything have to be about teaching people a lesson about the "search" feature, or the downloads available? Can't people just help one another? The head nuts are torqued to 26-29 foot pounds. The head bolts are torqued to 6-8.5 foot pounds. I torque the small head bolts to 100 inch pounds with a small inch pound torque wrench.

Relax. I listed the download and page number because the OP said he had already downloaded the manual so I figured telling him the page number would provide more info. I linked to the manual on Cliff's site for him to verify that the manual he downloaded is the same one I referenced.

Teach a man to fish and and you will feed him for a lifetime.
