    Starter Clutch Thrust Washer Query

In the process of putting the starter clutch back together on the Suzuki GS1000E 1979 model. In the Haynes manual it mentions to fit the clutch pinion bearing thrust washer with the chamfered inner edge towards the main bearing with the 4 notches pointing outwards. The washer I have does have a slightly chamfered inner radius but has four notches on either side, is that correct?

yes thats ok, as long as the chamfered side faces the crank
    1978 GS1085.

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
