Front sprocket left or right thread?
Just a quick question guys, looking to swop across to a 530 conversion on my 79 GS1000E, can you tell me if the front sprocket retaining nut is left or right hand threads, it sure is mighty tight. I have been trying to loosen in an anti clockwise direction.Tags: None

have some one stand on the rear brake and put the bike in 3rd or 4th gear. use a piece of scaffold pole or similar on the end of your socket bar for extra leverage. it will be tight but it will come off. make sure you flatten out the locking tab washer before attempting!1978 GS1085.
Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
