      Black Engine

I like the silver engine package but I'm sure the black would be cool too. The oil spots would definitely not be an issue...unless it leaked bad and I couldn't see it.

So let me try the blinker again...without the engine running.

OK have you done any of the wiring maintenance that is suggested on Cliffs pages? Sounds like it might be the connector or the switch contacts if you had the opposite side working. That is where I would start and trace it back.

Great! I'll get started on that this weekend. I work an afternoon/evening shift 230pm-11pm so my day is done with the bike.

Ok, just did the functional check with engine off. Right front comes on, right rear does not. I may have bumped the right rear light while moving her in the garage. I'll do the Wiring Maintenance from Cliff's site. Thanks fellas.

I am blessed to have a riding partner, but would probably go deaf if we tested that statement in her presence.

It is time to create a T Nation Thread, because there sure seems to be a lot of the "rare" bikes showing up lately.

The earth wire of blinkers is sometimes a ring terminal fixed under the mounting of the blinker. Include an inspection of this earth as well, and do not only look at the +12V side.

My bike did the same thing, turned out to be a pinched wire under the stem. Just loosen up the stem and you will see what I mean.

Also check this thread for oil leaks, there are o-rings on the 2 center front head bolts that cause leaks on the 16 valve motors.

Indeed. I replaced the valve cover and spark plug port gaskets on the ZRX when I did the valve clearance check/adjustment last season. First time it's been done in probably 20K miles or more. And yeah, the gaskets were finally starting to weep a lil bit.

Fisk you're selling your Rex?? Say it ain't so??!!

Sorry But it is so. I don't ride it. It just sits in the shop collecting dust. I am 6'4" 280lbs and it is a little small for me. I like the bike for just blasting around on but if I go any distance I'm cramped up. I have found that I enjoy the old GS's more as they are big and bulky like me. If you know anyone looking send them my way. Super clean low mileage 13,900 miles

                          Good advice in this thread...

                          1. Ignore the oil leak, and keep riding.

                          2. Rev it up more to get more electricity flowing and fix some dim bulbs.

Damn winter needs to be over. I want to 'fix' some oil seeping and dim bulbs.

Well January is almost over. February is short. Normally halfway through March starts riding time here. When the temps get around 45 it's riding season. Not too much longer now.

One of these winters I wanna get a fully insulated space suit and ride year round. The downside of only owning perforated leathers....

I agree and am grateful to you guys for clearing this matter.

Now, it's time for me to research Cliff's Site for Electrical Guidance.
