Gasket pieces in cam chain tunnel
So after doing all of my valve clearnace checks and changind every shim twice, to go down two sizes on every single shim, I ended up having to scrape the living hell out of the old gasket. Well I thought I had the cam chain tunnel completely blocked off and would have no issues but when I removed the rags I watched a few paper gasket pieces go down in the tunnel. Yup it was a sickening feeling. Now what do I do?Tags: None

If that doesn't work, I would dump some oil down the cam chain tunnel. The pieces will end up on the sump screen in the oil pan. If they're huge then try to vacuum out as much as possible.

Ok. I'm just lost as to what pouring oil into the cam tunnel would do. Not being smart just curious
