    anaerobic gasket

Hi. I'am going to be useing anaerobic gasket maker to seal the cases on an 1100e after a major rebuild. Any experience from anyone on this type of gasket maker? I've never used it, it's permatex brand & I have had good luck w/ their products.

I've used it before but not on a GS. I'd much rather use a gasket. You can cut one out from gasket paper in about 5 min. if you don't have one already.

I don't think you want to use paper between the cases as that will change some of your bearing clearances. I used black rtv between the cases of three of my bikes and never saw a leak from them.

The Threebond 1207B is the ONLY thing I use to put case halves together. Never had a leak with the stuff & have been using it for over 30 years! Available through any Suzuki dealer. A little pricey at about 20 bucks a tube but worth every penny. Ray.

Oops, my bad on assuming we were talking side covers.

I use ThreeBond 1194 between case halfs. http://www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDet...item=TU53-0395

Exactly the input I was hopeing for, thanks guy's. Ness. I do not think lengthening the distance between the cases by even .00001 is a good idea as far as the crank & tranny zinging around are going to appreciate for long. Tom. Although I have used RTV many times I would be leary of squish out getting into the case. R.R. I do think you may be on to something new to me... I'll check it out. Thanks again guy's.

Use the three bond. It's good stuff!

                      Hondabond HT.

Not cheap but it is the best I have ever used. Some say its the same thing as 3 bond - not sure!?

Its the only gasket paste that permanently sealed my KTM LC4 rocker cover. Nuff said!

                      Cheers
