    79 GS550 Carbs

How do you adjust the carb settings for this year, I have 2 Air Screws and 1 fuel screw underneath the bowls? Thanks for the help.

welcome.....first of all, you introduce yourself in the GS owners forum. tell us a bit about yourself, and a bit about your bike and its history.
a few pics are nice too, we like pics.
then you can ask some tech. questions and sooner or later the big cheese will pop along and give you his mega welcome, which includes links to all the info you could possibly need to help you sort your ride out.

any questions after that, feel free to ask.

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

      Greetings and Salutations!!

      Hi Mr. A1dorains,

The VM carbs are usually started at 7/8 to 1 turn out on the fuel screw, 1.5 to 2.0 turns out on the air screw. Adjust as necessary. See the carb tuning information on my little website. Here's your "mega-welcome".
