    What's behind this bolt?

I'm looking for a place to relocate the oil temperature probe. What is behind the bolt in the attached picture? The red arrow points at it.

Main oil galley that feeds the capilaries. Usually used for a oil pressure guage setup.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

As already stated, main oil gallery. I wouldn't use it for a temp pickup as the end of the gallery outside the drilling for the main bearing feed won't see a lot of flow. IMO you risk seeing the temp of stagnant oil and scaring yourself with unreal high figures...

I'd tap into - or weld a threaded boss onto - the side or rear of the sump. Underneath is generally not an option with a sidecar - I'm well aware of all the ground clearance problems....

The oil filter housing cover is also a possibility. That's quite a common point to take oil temp.
