    Fits a gs 1000 into a gs 550 1978

    Hello people,

Is there someone who knows if a GS 1000 motor fits into a GS 550 frame 1978 ?
    or maybe a GS 750 ?

not naturally no, cuts n welds and unsafe for sure, that's my 2 cents and I am centsless, more may chime in, motor mounts, clearance issues u name it.

I would try a Bandit 1200 or GSXR1100 motor it is smaller in size and get ready for some frame flexing

The 1000 motor pops right into the 750 frame.

Two motor mounts are different, the top back and the bottom. You must use the front 750 motor plates, and make the other plates.

The front mounts need to be made up too, but it's all fairly easy.
