    Shim question

Where can I find shims with the x on them. What company sells them.

The only place to get them is out of a head. Suzuki used the in between sizes. I have a few, but try not to use them up. What size do you need?

If you let .010mm be your upper clearance limit your 2.75 and 2.80 will probably be fine.

A lot of us use .040mm - .010mm range instead of the .030mm - .080mm that the manual says.

Contact Ghostgs1 to see if the GSR Shim Club has some in stock.

I'm confused should that suggested .040mm -.010mm be .040mm -.100mm, or at least something greater than .080 since you're moving up on the scale?

                Hi,

Yes, that is correct. I also use the .04 - .10 mm range with my bike. Mr. tkent02 was off a decimal place.

A slappy valve is a happy valve.

                Thank you for your indulgence,
