    Marvel Mystery Oil & Race Motor

    So, has anyone used MMO in a race bike regularly?

    I use MMO in my old worn out 94 Chevy truck to quiet the lifters. Over a few beers, it occurred to me that if it penetrates that well, maybe I should use it in my race motor to help prevent cam galling.

    thoughts?

    I would not use it with the wet clutch.
    1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
    1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

      There have been many many discussions about Marvels in the GS engines. None that I recall have mentioned any clutch problems with its use. In fact, as I recall things, It quite the opposite. It supposedly cleans the plates and fibers exceptionally well and the clutch seems to lock up more positively and reduces slippage.

      Here is the list of threads I got from typing in Marvels Mystery Oil in the search box. Scan them and find the info there is my suggestion.

      I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

        Ive seen Marvel swell rubber o-rings if that matters.

        Is it going OT to mention any other oil additives ? Too bad . We love Sea Foam in the gas....how about the oil ?

          See the second post here. Maybe a little and run it maybe 10 or 20 miles and then change the oil ??

          In any case, they do have a "HOWEVER" clause in the second response. Do some more searching. I will see if I can find the manufacturers application suggestions too.

              More info and has a CONTACT selection as well..Look at the FAQ section where they say you can add to motorcycle engines. granted it doesnt say wet clutch but ask then directly what their summation is.
