    Engine missing at around 6000rpm

Hi guy's, I have just bought a gsx 1100e, it needs a little tlc. I had an oil leak from the tach drive so put degreaser on the engine and used high pressure washer to clean it. Probably a silly thing to do but did rest of bike whilst i was at it, ie tank off and battery out etc sprayed all electrics. I put it all back together and the engine had a real bad miss in it at all speeds and revs, was hardly rideable. Got hair dryer out and went over electrics i could see ie coils etc and the bike ran a lot better but it now still misses at around 6000rpm regardless of what gear your in. Anyone got any ideas on what it might be. Mate and i took carbies of in case water inside so that shouldn't be the problem. Any help appreciated.

It still has water some where. Try pulling the plug wires off and drying them out, and all the connections that you see.

undo all the connectors and connector blocks, squirt with WD40 and replace.
may even be worth doing the kill switch and ignition switch if you pressure washed the whole bike
