Clutch cable bottom end.
So I'm miles from home and the clutch cable pulls clean out of the bottom end fitting. Luckily I was on a slope so away we go. Cable looks new and it's a clean pull out, no broken strands or corrosion. What's the chances of successfully redoing it, properly this time? I know some trawlermen97 R1100R

I'd just get a new clutch cable. Not worth getting stranded.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

For the record, a healthy 1000G with a warm engine will start in 1st gear going up a slight grade. I don't remember whether I pushed with my feet to help it. The smaller bikes could probably do the same.Dogma

You know how you expect the hole on a crimped end fitting to be a little bit asymmetric - well it isn't. I'm going to do this right and the new cable is going to be relegated to backup.
First for me , every other clutch cable has died from old age at the top end. Feeling this one was a dud and a replacement from the Kan Do Pull Trading Co could be as bad.97 R1100R
