    Clutch pulled in not killing all power to the back wheel

    Hello I just got a 78 Gs750 and when I took it out to ride I noticed that when the clutch is all the way pulled in if I give it gas the bike goes.. It's not a lot but I know that it should not be doing that. Is this something that I can tune or is it my clutch or tranny going? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Most likely the clutch cable is not set up right and is not fully disengaging the clutch. How much free travel at the lever ? There will always be a little drag on the clutch , that clonk you get kicking down into first. When the oil is cold it is more noticeable. Nearly every bike on the centrestand will drive the back wheel in gear with the clutch pulled in fully.

      There are two or three clutch cable adjustments on that 750, depending on which cable you have. Adjust them all correctly, let us know if it's still dragging.

      The one that's usually set wrong is the helix adjustment on the sprocket cover.
