    Oil Pan gasket difference.

I bought an oil pan gasket that almost fits but there is a small difference just before the oring the gasket does not cover the rest of that ridge that runs in front of it. Is that going to be a problem can I just use a little Suzuiki bond to seal that ridge? This is on an 82 gs650

Almost fits? Either it fits or it doesn't. Did you get a OEM gasket or some aftermarket one? One other thing, if it is a aftermarket, make sure it is the same thickness of the stock gasket, if not it's gonna seep. You'll never get it to stop no matter how tight you get the bolts.

Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

It fits perfect on every part but that spot I'm almost positive its O.E. just wondering about that little spot in red.
