                ok, i dont have to pop out the cams, holddown n all that, pretty much pop the cover off and thats bout it

                      You don't have to "pop out the cams" to change GS shims.

                        Oh the dreaded comparison between [shims & tappets] valve adjustment types. If you base your decision and declare trump on a bike strictly on that difference, there's a negative impression you just made.

                        I suggest a Mulligan and re-engage.
