650G RPM / Speed question...
For anyone with a 650G with more or less standard tire sizes, what is the speed in fifth gear at say 4000 or maybe 5000 RPM?

According to the June 1981 Motorcyclist test, at 60 mph in top gear, the engine was spinning at 4,634rpm.sigpic

My son's 650L is put away right now, or I would take it out for a spin, but that's about the speed I remember.
Yes, you asked about the G, but in the 850/1000/1100 gear comparison, there was virtually no difference between the G with a 17" wheel and a GL with a 16" wheel (5021 vs 5016 rpm @ 70 mph), and I know the 650 spins a bit higher than the 850.

If I drop that to what the 650 did, about 66 - 68 in 6th gear at 5,000, it should top out at about 120 something and be very quick in the lower gears. Thank for your help.sigpic
