    GS850 clutch?

My clutch is starting to slip on my 850. The stock plates are fairly expensive and I was wondering how EBC or Vesrah friction discs compare to stock? Also, is the anything in particular that I should be looking for when I tear into it as far as inspection, wear or replacement?

    thanks, Pat

Check the Suzuki manual for the specs; if you haven't done it yet, it's on Basscliff's site at the top.

What cowboyup is referring to is the thickness of the fiber plates. If they are within tolerance, then something else is amiss.

Usually it's the springs. They have been in there compressed for 34 years. They are a little too short by now.
Brand new stock Suzuki springs are cheap too.
