      I would shoot for .006" but I wouldn't go any larger. How about .005"-.006"?

        Since the shims come in increments of 0.05mm (approx 0.002"), he will need to have a 0.002" range.

        Which would be better, 0.005-0.007" or 0.004-0.006"?

          How about .004"-.006" intake and .005"-.007" exhaust. These are mild cams that can use stock valve springs. Dar
