Clutch basket nut

GS1000G, what size is the big nut with the lock washer that holds the basket onto the shaft?
Want to check mine to make sure it is good and tight before I button up the clutch cover.

That would be a 32MM socket. I believe a 1 1/4 Inch will work also.

Yes it is a 1 1/4 SAE size, thats what I use on mine.

I bet SAE is hard to find in South Africa.

1 1/4 inches is an STANDARD AMERICAN EQUIVELENT for the size he needs..maybe just ever so slightly loose though. I got a 6 point too..better gripping and wont tear up the tips of the nut as readily.

Mine is the same! A nice 32mm from Harbor Freight did the trick.

Unless it's been replaced with an 1150 Nut... That's smaller from memory & supposedly harder metal.
