Thread partially broken where clutch cable enters motor

The one side of the groove where the clutch cable goes in is snapped off somehow. The clutch cable is staying in but the shop didnt want to risk changing the cable in case they couldn't get the new one to stay in. My cable definitely needs adjusted/replaced. Anyone deal with this? Thanks.

I was hoping to get one up but my phone crashed on me. Tomorrow should hopefully be a better day.

Where the arrow is pointing shows the piece that is broken. It's snapped off about halfway up on the right side. I'll get an actual picture of my bike on here tomorrow
