Cylinder head studs
I have a 78' GS 750 and I cannot find the cylinder head studs for the 4 center (tallest) ones for sale. I have tried suzuki dealers and the computer says they no longer make them. Any help in finding them would be helpful since three of them I had to cut to get the head off.

Parts Wanted Forum. Shouldn't be hard to find them. Lots of GS'ers have parts engines laying about. The 850 uses the same parts. The parts show as still available from Suzuki too, so where did you get the info that they are discontinued?Ed

Don't rely on "parts guy", standard answer for these old bikes,
"Sorry, no longer available"

hey all thanks for the reply. When I went to the parts counter I looked with him and the 78' GS750 (E) showed they were no longer available. The other 750's were. So the first question since I do not have the other model is will the inner 8 studs fit my engine? My engine uses the 4 outer studs different length and the 4 inner studs (the ones that rust for some reason) are the longest of all the studs. I had to cut three of them to get the head off. These are the studs for some reason are different length. The other gs 750 show all 8 are the same length. any thoughts

Go here...http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm
Look up the part numbers. You will see there has been some supercession, but any of the parts in the chain will work.
Go back to your dealership guy and tell him to get the parts, or order online. Boulevard Suzuki is one of the forum favorites.
Instructions on how to post photos in high resolution, plus a whole lot more, available in this link...http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/
EDIT:
Part# 09108-10112 Outer
Part# 09108-10027 Inner
Same parts are shared with the GS100Last edited by Nessism; 04-06-2014, 08:43 AM.Ed

Looks like you would be needing number 2 here: http://www.partsoutlaw.com/oemparts/...4e14b/cylinder While you are getting those you might as well go to the cylinder head page and order all new nuts and the special washers too.

the Stud length is 6 9/16 from the head, plus the thread length that goes into the head of course.Last edited by Guest; 04-07-2014, 11:09 AM.

Stud bolts
Guys the length of my studs that I need is 6 9/16 from the head to the end. All other studs are shorter. I checked with other Suzuki dealers and I cannot find the GS 750 (E) only I see EC ED and they all show 8 studs equal length. take a look at my pic's and see.
