    81 GS1000 gasket set

hey all, I'm looking for a top end gasket set and piston rings for my 81 GS1000GL. I've been doing allot of researching on this here forum and the majority of people choose Cometic or Suzuki OEM gaskets,,,,, but a search only comes up with ebay and vesrah gaskets anyone have a part number on Cometic or OEM top end gasket set? I'm also looking for piston ring set, any prefered brand? thanks for your time everybody!

there are no OEM gasket 'kits'. You just have to buy each gasket, o-ring separately from your favorite online seller.

        GASKET SET

Suzuki used to offer this kit, but it's discontinued as azr suggests. They sometimes come up on ebay though.

ok thanks guys. i looked up a gasket "kit" on ebay roughly 80$ is the going rate, then went online at suzuki dealer near me and priced out each gasket and oring that came in that kit and came up with around 250$ would it be better to pay the money for oem gaskets, or settle for KR, Vesrah aftermarket gaskets? are there any bad experiences out there for aftermarket gaskets??
          thanks

Vesrah are better than Athena (green gaskets), but not as good as OEM. You might want to pick up the Vesrah kit and supplement with an OEM base gasket and maybe head gasket too. OEM gaskets sometimes come up on ebay for good prices.
