81GS650L Head/Breather Cover Bolts

Head cover and breather cover were removed by the PO and I had a bag of bolts when I picked it up. Now that the valve adjustment is done and ready to close the engine up I find that 1 breather cover bolt is missing.

I'll probably find more missing as I put the air box back together, but for now it doesn't make sense to order one bolt online.

Anyone have a spare after replacing the existing bolts that they want to share? Current part number: 01550-06207.

Any recommendations for after market bolt replacements that might be better than the OEM steel bolts?

for 1 bolt, try your local hardware store. Stainless steel bolts are a common replacement for all the engine bolts. look nicer and dont rust. just remember to smear the threads with copper grease if you convert

Just get a 6mm by 20mm bolt at hardware store-add washer if needed.
