1981 gs 1100e. What kind of cylinder pressure should I be seeing? Thanks in advance.

1981 GS 1100e turbo, 83 motor, turbo pistons, new head, new turbo, backed and welded clutch basket, Dyna S ignition, cbr 929 front end, gsxr 750 rear end with 190 tire, all carbon fiber covered bodywork. -

That depends on if the valves are adjusted correctly, and on whether or not you test it correctly.

Amount other things, proper testing means hold open the throttle while cranking. Might save you a little heart failure from a low set of numbersOriginally posted by turbojonn View Post

Engine at operating temperature, throttle held wide open, valves adjusted properly. If the engine has sat for a while the compression may be low until you exercise the beast a little.Ed
