    Oil cooler hose Issues

I got the bike with an oil cooler already on it. The previous owner routed the hoses which are 3/8ths between the carb and air box. I dunno how everyone else installs this but this configuration is a pain in the ass.

Does anyone have a better routing method? or should i just eliminate it?

to be honest my 850 didnt have one and i thought it ran great so im not sure weather to keep or scrap.

I would keep it - unless you live in Alaska.

You didn't mention which engine you are talking about. GS1000G? The eight valve GSes in stock form never needed any oil coolers, even in tropical places. The 16 valve engines did, there's not enough airflow through the cooling fins in the head. Use good oil and don't worry about it. Sell the cooler to someone with a high performance engine that gets hot.
