79 GS1000 rear swing arm bushing?

Hello! I was removing my rear wheel from my 1979 GS1000 to replace the tire and chain and noticed the swing has some play in it on the chain drive side. Makes sence that it would wear out there. While it is apart I thought I should replace it. Anyone changed that bushing or bearing before? Any tips before going into battle? Thank you!

Yes, change the bearings. You most likely need new bearing spacers too.

You can get the needle roller part from an ordinary bearing suppliers for half the cost of buying an oem part, (Often made by the same manufacturers)

Don't say can't, as anything is possible with time and effort, but, if you don't have time things get tougher and require more effort.
