Use it as thin as you can when sealing cases and around the tranny and crank seals. The stuff is amazing and goes a long long way when the torque is applied. I found it best to let it set over night and cure before trying to remove what has squished out. Just peels free then..doing it right away makes a smeared black mess.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Might use an ounce tops. Keep it closed tightly and it will last a good long time. Use the solid cap to close and clean the nozzle tip out well when its still liquid. And make as small a hole as you can in the nozzle tip. If you dont want to waste what the tip is gonna take in, just use your finger to thinly smear it on.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Thin like the width of a #2 pencil lead thin..or a little thinner!! Then I use a finger to wipe it evenly over the entire mating surfaces. I even use it in the head where the U shaped cam end plugs go..and a little on top of the plugs themselves to assure a leak proof seal. It doesnt take much and at what the tube cost me, I dont waste a drop if I dont need to.
Got mine from the dealership and it was around $28.00 if i recall.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
