    80' GS750 Speed-O' Question....help please !

    Have a 80' GS-750 and i have to replace the speedometer and was wanting to know what gear ratio should i be looking for ?
    thank you for any info !!

    2240:60 is the ratio for most, if not all GS's I believe. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, as I tend to have incomplete information at times. Not wrong, just incomplete.

      HOLLY CR@P !!!! That's a hair over 37:1 !!! I have not seen anything but 1:1 or 1:2 !!!! in the after market world !!!!

        37:1 or 99:1, the number means nothing, as long as it's the right one.

          YES !.....but what is the right number ........37:1 ????????

            The correct number is 2240:60.

            What that means is that when the cable is turning at 2240 RPM, the speedo will be showing 60 MPH.

            Doesn't matter what the actual number is, just accept that it's the right one.

            (I think there is an echo in this room. )
