    gs 1100 crank question

Will an 85 1150 crank work? I know it requires different pistons with 18 mm wrist pins, but what else?
1981 GS 1100e turbo, 83 motor, turbo pistons, new head, new turbo, backed and welded clutch basket, Dyna S ignition, cbr 929 front end, gsxr 750 rear end with 190 tire, all carbon fiber covered bodywork.

I believe that they are 20mm wrist pins. Ask Chef1360 (or something like that) on this site as he just did one.

it's a bolt in john but you will need the 1150 basket also because it has 2 more teeth than your 1100 basket.
plus 1150's are 20mm small ends on the rods.
oh course the 1150 has/uses all large taper SC parts which is a plus!

Whatever crank you use, have it converted to straight cut gears. The power you can reach with that turbo is too much for the helical basket.

Not sure if you need anymore but I have a set of lightly used 1166 Mtc turbo pistons in a box somewhere, billet straight cut baskets with 750,1100&falicon gears and tons of 1150 blocks heads etc.
