Not trying to thread jack, but is the older 1194 better or worse then the current 1184? Just curious because I have availability to both right now and would like to know which to get.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

I like the 1211 Threebond, worth a shot if you can't find the other. About $20 a tube. I've reused torn gaskets 5-6 times and smeared a thin coat with great results. I currently have a cometic base and mls head gasket on the bike right now. The piston kit I bought included the gaskets. No leaks yet, and I recently re torqued the head. Not being cheap, but couldn't justify buying OEM when they were already included.

I've had Suzuki OEM's fail too...it's not that often though. Then again, I have RTV gaskets that have lasted 6 years on my petcock and side cases!
