      Finally got it off in one piece. What is the best and safest way to torque it with the engine in the bike.

        I put it in 5th gear and lock up the rear wheel by putting a crow bar between the mag wheel spokes and the swing arm. You can also have someone stand on the rear brake while you torque it down.

        Others may have another idea.

          Really appreciate all your help. Next job to fix the indicators. When i fit a standard car flasher unit the indicators work but will not flash. Any suggestions .
