    1150 cylinder liner O-rings

Wondering if these o-rings need to be replaced, if they're intact? I'm getting some stock liners bored and wanted to make sure.

    Thanks for any advice.

    I'd reuse them.

I replace them when building a new engine. Why do a half-azzed job? You can always just cross your fingers that they haven dried out at all in the last 30 years or so.

if you open the upper case for larger liners then the o-rings has no affect anymore.

What do you mean by upper case? Oh, I get it...No I'm not machining the upper case. I'm boring the stock liner for a 1229 kit, since I could not find one "old school MTC piston stamped K". I bet one will turn up after I get the engine back together. I have one block already bored, but grenaded the #1 cylinder sleeve. I plan to bore a stock cylinder to match the pistons I recently bought and then try to find a liner for the damaged sleeve on the "now" spare block.

I have NEVER put a set back & NEVER had an issue because of it.

How many other parts can we just leave out? Do you have a list by 2-valve and 4-valve engines that you can share?
