    Starter clutch bolts

I am trying to figure out what size and thread etc the sc bolts are.
have a friend who has access to all kindsa bolts and money is tight.

original appearance is not really something I'm to worried about, especially not inside the engine..

It's not the look of the bolt that's important. Those are hardened bolts and must be able to take the torque. The size is m8x16mm standard pitch.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

8mm x 1.25 pitch 16mm long, get grade 12.9, use red locktite, minimum! Torque 16-18 ft lbs. clean bolts and threads in clutch so there is absolutely no oil on them prior to locktite application

only socket head Allen bolts work, no alternatives available!

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

I paid $6 for the 3 from Suzuki. Like what's been said, red loctite on clean threads. I torqued them to spec +.

Believe it or not, most real hardware stores (Ace, DoItBest, etc.) will have these on the shelf -- grade 12.9, 8mmX1.25 thread, 16mm thread length.

Home stores (Meanards, bLowes, Home Despot) are not hardware stores, and usually have very little metric hardware.

The grade 12.9 and the red Loctite with proper torque are VERY important in this application.
