    Clutch noise??

So before I go digging into it, I just thought I would get some opinions. On my 79 GS1000L there is a rattling noise in the clutch housing and you can feel a vibration in the clutch shaft. Bring the RPMs up or pull clutch noise and vibration goes away...

The most common cause is either a loose hub nut, or there is play in the springs of the hub.

It could also be something else but these are the 2 most common causes for the noise you described.

Here is a modified hub, dissembled and spacers installed to take up the slack in the springs and welded back together.
