GS1100GK top end on a GS1000E bottom end?

Quick question.... I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times already, but...
Will the pistons/cylinder/head from a 82 GS1100GK drop directly onto a GS1000E chain drive engine?
Or are the rods a different length, or piston pin height issues?

    Thanks

Not sure PM Frankinzuki he has done this I believe. I myself am going to U.S. The 1100 d port head on a 1085 over bore then I can us the 34-36 mm carbs, depending on what cams I use

I believe there are some deck height issues that must be dealt with.

It appears that the bore and stroke are both different from each other... was hoping it had the same stroke with a bigger bore...
Maybe if they have different rod lengths as well, the piston pin height might be the same....but I doubt it.

Like I said pm Frankenzuki he has done this I believe. Some case work needs to be done I believe. But you could just do an over bore on the 1000 cyl. Then use the Gk head so you can get the head benefit and cv carbs if that interests you. 1085 kit

I have a big port head, 33 smoothbores, and a 1085 wiseco set up for my other GS1000, but I was looking for a easier/quicker alternative for my other bike. I found a complete 1100GK dirt cheap, and thought I might use more than just the head.
