Stuck Crankshaft!
I have an 83 GS 550 that has the head and cylinder removed for repairs and while removing the pistons the crankshaft locked and won't move except for a tiny little bit in both directions. Please help! What caused this and how can I fix it? -

You don't need to split the cases to unlock the crank shaft. If pulling up on both sides of the chain does not help loosen the crank, then remove the oil pan so you can see what is causing the chain to jam up. Did the bike get knocked into gear???1981 GS 1000GLX.
